Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure & Hybrid Cloud)

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing and managing Microsoft Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments. The role covers end-to-end implementation of Azure and Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, from planning and architecture through deployment, migration and operational support, ensuring reliability, scalability, security and governance. It involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and automate Azure infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
• Configure, administer, maintain and support Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments
• Build and optimise deployment automation and delivery pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and Terraform
• Design Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, security baselines and operational best practices
• Support migration and modernisation of applications and workloads to Azure and Hybrid Cloud
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Work with technical and security teams on cloud security controls and compliance
• Advise clients on cloud, platform engineering, infrastructure automation and cloud governance
• Explore emerging cloud, AI and automation technologies

Required profile

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering or related roles
• Proven ability to work in Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure delivery teams on complex cloud transformation projects
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills in English and Greek (Greek not mandatory)
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (ideal)

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (networking, compute, storage, monitoring, identity, security)
• Terraform, Bicep or similar IaC tools; Azure DevOps pipelines
• Azure Landing Zones, cloud governance and security best practices
• Hybrid cloud architectures and cloud migration approaches
• Agile delivery environments
• Nice to have: Kubernetes, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, cloud security controls, and Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400 or AZ-500
