Cook A (Greek Speaker)

About the role

Mayflower, a technology company behind large-scale entertainment products, is hiring a Cook A in Limassol. The cook prepares ingredients, completes mise en place and supports daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, freshness and consistency while keeping the workstation organised and following food-safety and hygiene standards. Fluency in Greek is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients through marinating, seasoning, portioning and basic cooking, following recipes and the station plan
• Support the Chef de Partie during preparation and service, and assist other stations during busy periods or absences
• Keep work surfaces, tools and equipment clean, label food properly and store it safely
• Follow food-safety, allergen, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a similar menu and production volume
• Ability to work in shifts (5:00 am-2:00 pm, 6:30 am-2:30 pm, 7:30 am-3:30 pm)
• Ability to organise and run a kitchen station independently and work under pressure
• Culinary qualification, relevant food-safety training and experience with ordering, inventory or stocktaking are an advantage
• Fluency in Greek is mandatory; English or Russian is a plus

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cooking techniques for meat, fish, vegetables, sauces and side dishes
• Practical knowledge of HACCP, cross-contamination prevention, allergen management and food storage
• Monitoring of ingredient quality, expiry dates and stock levels to minimise waste
