AI Engineer – Generative AI & Data Architecture

About the role

EY Consulting is looking for an AI Engineer to join its Transformation Realized consulting practice in Nicosia, part of the Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe and Central Asia cluster. The role supports clients in defining and rolling out data architecture, data platforms and infrastructure, implementing and maintaining automated data pipelines, and using business intelligence and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art AI solutions, including AI models and systems using LLMs and generative AI.
• Work with stakeholders to define AI project goals and tailor solutions to business requirements.
• Build end-to-end pipelines for generative AI projects, integrating APIs such as Azure OpenAI GPT and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Use vector databases such as Redis and NoSQL databases, and similarity search techniques for efficient retrieval.
• Evaluate advanced techniques such as transfer learning, domain adaptation and model compression, and set metrics for AI output quality.
• Clean and preprocess large datasets, and ensure data privacy, security and ethical compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Strong mathematical and quantitative skills, including calculus, linear algebra and statistics.

Required skills

• Python, R, TensorFlow or PyTorch; NLP frameworks such as BERT, GPT or Transformer models.
• Computer vision techniques.
• Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Data engineering: curation, cleaning and preprocessing.
• DevOps and MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and Git (a plus).
