Team Leader of Settlement Unit

About the role

The Team Leader of the Settlement Unit oversees securities settlement operations across multiple products and markets, ensuring timely and accurate settlement for both proprietary and client accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise DVP/FOP transfers, SWIFT messaging, failed trades, reconciliation issues and end‑of‑day reporting.
• Manage team performance, resolve complex operational issues and mitigate settlement risks.
• Drive process improvements and act as first point of escalation for urgent or high‑risk cases.
• Participate in settlement projects, market changes and support software testing and upgrades.

Required profile

• Experience in securities settlement operations and familiarity with market practices and custodian requirements.
• Proven ability to lead a team, coach staff and handle performance management.

Required skills

• SWIFT messaging (MT5XX format)
• DVP/FOP transfer handling
