Staff Frontend Engineer - Micro-Frontends

About the role

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher in Limassol, Cyprus, working on Total Battle, a cross-platform MMO 4X strategy game. It is hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer to design and build the micro-frontend platform and shared component library for Localization Hub, the first of its new self-service internal products.

Key responsibilities

• Design the micro-frontend platform architecture and defend the solution
• Develop the portal core and the module contract, and set up module delivery (template, CI/CD, documentation)
• Migrate the current Localization Hub as the first module of the portal
• Build a shared component library based on Atomic Design and Storybook, contributing to its visual design
• Set standards for module teams and help them onboard to the portal
• Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews and documentation
• Own portal performance: loading time, bundle size budgets and rendering speed
• Resolve frontend production issues such as layout bugs, interaction quirks and degraded performance
• Collaborate with backend engineers, module teams and product on APIs, requirements and priorities
• Help plan the platform roadmap, upgrade shared dependencies and mentor engineers

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial frontend development experience
• Ability to justify decisions in writing (design documents, ADRs)
• Nice to have: interest in design and basic Figma skills, experience migrating an app to micro-frontends, experience with Next.js, and experience with state and data management in React (Zustand, Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query)

Required skills

• React and TypeScript
• HTML and modern CSS
• Micro-frontend platforms in production with React, TypeScript, Vite and React Router (Module Federation, Next.js Multi-Zones, import maps or similar, independently versioned npm modules)
• Frontend CI/CD, environment-based rollouts, CDN, versioned releases and rollbacks
• Unit, integration and end-to-end tests (Vitest or Jest, Playwright)
• Performance, accessibility and web security understanding
• Nice to have: GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, Sentry, per-module metrics
