Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

IC Markets, a global trading company with over 15 years of experience, is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Limassol. This full-time, on-site position involves designing, building and maintaining automation frameworks for web-based trading platforms and internal tooling, implementing AI-assisted testing workflows and integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run load and stress testing suites with k6 and JMeter, setting performance benchmarks for release sign-off
• Integrate automated testing into AWS-based staging and PreProd environments with Cloud and DevOps teams
• Write test plans covering functional, regression, performance and security testing, and run cross-browser and cross-device tests including mobile via BrowserStack
• Test APIs with Postman using automated monitor collections and Slack alerting, and support release sign-off with defect traceability
• Promote AI-assisted testing: automated test case generation, intelligent ticket triage and LLM-powered coverage analysis
• Build and maintain automation agents with n8n, Claude and OpenAI APIs for tasks such as regression triage, Jira ticket processing and test report summarisation

Required profile

• At least 5 years of QA experience, including 2+ years in a senior automation role and exposure to complex, high-availability platforms in regulated or financial services environments
• Experience in financial services, forex or CFD trading platforms is strongly preferred
• Proven delivery of automation solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, and a self-driven, detail-oriented approach

Required skills

• Playwright for end-to-end web automation, including BrowserStack
• CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions
• API testing with Postman and performance/load testing with k6
• Test management platforms, preferably QMetry for Jira
• Experience integrating AI and LLM tools (Claude, OpenAI) into QA workflows
