AI Engineer

About the role

IC Markets, a global trading company with over 15 years of experience, is looking for an AI Engineer to join its team in Limassol. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, designing, developing and deploying production-grade AI systems and intelligent agent pipelines. It is a full-time position with a hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-ready Python services powered by FastAPI.
• Architect and fine-tune end-to-end agent workflows for chat, search and retrieval use cases.
• Build intelligent agents with LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith, including prompt engineering, integration and testing.
• Integrate and optimise vector databases (Qdrant, Milvus, etc.) for embeddings, lookups and hybrid search.
• Evaluate and monitor agent performance, and optimise systems for lower latency, cost and better scalability.
• Help teams adopt AI by guiding integration, supporting AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and promoting best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong Python backend background.
• 1-2+ years deploying and maintaining ML/AI systems in production.
• Experience designing clean, documented APIs and integrating with microservices.
• Understanding of AI governance, security, compliance and responsible AI.

Required skills

• Python, FastAPI and microservices.
• NLP, RAG, embeddings and vector databases (Qdrant, Milvus).
• LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith and LlamaIndex.
• Prompt engineering and agent testing.
• Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Preferred: self-hosted LLMs (vLLM, Ollama, SGLang) and open-source coding agents.
