Senior PHP Developer – Billing Team (Relocation to Cyprus)

About the role

Freedom Finance Technologies is expanding its Billing team in Limassol and seeks a Senior PHP Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance web applications for its fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new modules and integrate external services into web applications.
• Deploy code to production and estimate development tasks.
• Participate in designing and improving product infrastructure for stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
• Design architectural solutions, select technologies, databases, and infrastructure to ensure high‑performing systems.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend or Full‑Stack Developer, with at least 5 years of hands‑on PHP development.
• Proficiency with a PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, Zend Framework, or Yii).
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with WebSockets is a plus.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Comfortable using Git via the command line and managing Linux‑based web stacks.
• Willingness to write and maintain automated tests.
• Fintech background preferred; Russian (native/C1) and English (B1+) required.
