QA Engineer – Banking Platform (Remote/Onsite)

About the role

payabl. is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join its Banking team. You will help ensure the quality and reliability of core banking and payment platforms, working across automated and manual testing with a strong focus on API, backend, integration, and transaction flows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end functional, integration, regression and system testing for core banking and payment platforms.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Python (PyTest) and browser automation tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
• Create and execute test cases for new feature implementations and participate in refinement sessions.
• Prepare detailed test plans, scenarios, cases, data and coverage, and conduct API and backend testing.
• Analyse logs and system flows to identify issues, document defects and collaborate with engineering and product teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years of QA automation experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python, PyTest, Cypress and Playwright.
• Proven experience in functional, integration and API/backend testing, especially for payment or transaction flows.
• Good understanding of payment processing, balances and transaction data.
• Ability to design clear, maintainable test cases and strong debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort in fast‑paced environments.
