Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial & Trading

About the role

eToro is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its global legal team in Limassol. This senior, standalone position will support a wide range of business units, including Regulation, Product, R&D, Marketing, HR, Finance and General & Administrative functions. The role requires a commercially minded lawyer with experience in tech or financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing legal advice to multiple business teams across the company.
• Draft and review terms & conditions, trading agreements and related documentation for new financial products.
• Advise on financial services regulation in Europe, the UK, the US, Australia and other jurisdictions, coordinating with local counsel as needed.
• Negotiate and finalize a variety of agreements, including M&A, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, financing, broker and asset purchase agreements.
• Handle day‑to‑day contracts covering software, services, consultancy, procurement, marketing, IT/IP and data privacy.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (LLB/JD or equivalent) admitted to practice in an EU, UK or other common‑law jurisdiction.
• 7–10 years of post‑qualification experience in a tech or financial services environment.
• Strong commercial contracts background, particularly in trading or financial services.
• Solid knowledge of European regulations such as MiFID and MiCA.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations with large vendors independently.
• Practical business judgment and a commercial mindset, not limited to pure compliance or M&A.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• In‑depth understanding of financial services regulation (MiFID, MiCA, privacy and data protection).
• Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with external counsel.
