Legal Counsel – Financial Services

About the role

The company is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its financial services operations in Limassol, reporting directly to the Legal & Compliance Manager. This role involves handling licensing, regulatory compliance, and corporate documentation across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee legal matters across the organisation, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and internal policies.
• Liaise with external counsel and conduct legal research across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage end‑to‑end licensing processes, including applications, renewals and ongoing legal requirements.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, local filings and corporate governance documentation.
• Maintain a centralised legal database covering contracts, licensing documents and external correspondence.
• Support the organisation with legal frameworks applicable to CIFs and train junior legal staff.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm and the legal department of an FX company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek.
• Interest in financial markets and legal frameworks applicable to CIFs.
• Excellent legal research, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver with a professional and trustworthy approach.
