Senior Commercial Lawyer

About the role
We are looking for a commercially minded Lawyer to own B2B iGaming contracts and negotiations from initial request through to signature. You’ll work closely with teams across Aloplay to resolve blockers, assess risk and keep agreements moving.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and B2B agreements, including marketing, licensing, service, consultancy, NDAs and supplier contracts.
- Take primary responsibility for B2B iGaming contracting with platforms, software, SaaS, game providers, aggregators, payment solutions, affiliates and technology providers.
- Independently manage multiple negotiations from request to execution, overseeing the full contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Commercial/BD, Finance, Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk and senior management to understand requirements and deliver workable solutions.
- Identify and resolve legal or commercial blockers, coordinate approvals and ensure timely completion of actions.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice, prioritising contractual, legal and regulatory risks and recommending practical solutions.
- Support client and partner onboarding and ensure contracts progress efficiently from agreement to signature.
- Liaise with external counsel and advisers when specialist or local‑law advice is required while retaining internal ownership.
- Maintain visibility of the contract pipeline, including status, actions, approvals, deadlines and execution.
- Offer broader in‑house legal support across operational areas, aligning with business objectives and regulatory obligations.
Required profile
- Law degree, preferably from a common‑law jurisdiction.
- 4–6+ years post‑qualification experience in a commercial or in‑house environment.
- Proven iGaming industry experience, preferably within a B2B iGaming business or technology provider.
- Strong B2B commercial contracting experience with familiarity of SaaS, licensing, PSP/payment, supplier, marketing and affiliate agreements.
- Ability to independently manage complex negotiations and multiple matters simultaneously.
- Excellent risk assessment skills to distinguish material legal, regulatory, financial and business risks.
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation and communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams including Commercial/BD, Finance, Product, Operations, Compliance and Risk.
- Excellent organisational and project‑management abilities with a focus on deadlines and pipeline visibility.
- High professionalism, accountability, attention to detail and a pragmatic, solutions‑oriented approach.
