About the role
We are seeking a Legal Advisor to join our team in Limassol, Cyprus. You will work in a hybrid setting, supporting the company’s legal needs across contracts, compliance, and data protection.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including commercial, service, and other agreements, ensuring compliance with Cyprus and applicable EU law.
- Assist in the preparation of protocols and materials for board meetings and other legal documents (e.g., POAs, Resolutions, Letters) ensuring all legal perspectives are well‑represented.
- Support the Head of Legal & DPO in coordinating legal matters across all regions to ensure a unified approach to global legal issues.
- Work closely with departments such as Marketing, Compliance, Product, and Finance, offering legal support to enhance operations and mitigate risks.
- Assist in managing potential legal disputes, such as issues for defamation.
- Contribute to the implementation of scalable legal processes to streamline and organize global legal functions efficiently.
- Conduct legal research on matters related to the company's global operations, with a focus on the Cyprus regulatory landscape.
- Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.
- Handle data subject rights requests, tickets and tasks (DPO support duties), in line with GDPR and Romanian data protection legislation.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations (DPO support duties).
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures (DPO support duties).
- Perform other related legal tasks, as may be needed from time to time to support the company.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited Cyprus institution.
- A Master's degree in Law or other relevant legal qualifications.
- 2‑3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Professional level of English (written and spoken); Greek native/fluent.
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive approach to addressing and resolving legal challenges in a timely manner.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
