Senior Fullstack QA Engineer

About the role

FP Markets Group of Companies is expanding its social‑trading platform and needs a senior automation specialist to own end‑to‑end test coverage. Based in the Cyprus office, you will design and implement mobile and web automation frameworks from the ground up, ensuring that no code reaches production without passing rigorous tests.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a native mobile automation framework for iOS (XCUITest) and Android (Espresso/UiAutomator2) using Appium.
• Develop and maintain backend API test suites with REST Assured.
• Cover critical social‑trading scenarios such as trade copying, deposits/withdrawals, and account operations.
• Extend test coverage to web UI using Playwright (Java) and to API layers.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enforce pre‑commit quality gates with Git hooks, and generate detailed reports.
• Execute tests on real devices, emulators, simulators, and cloud farms (e.g., BrowserStack).
• Promote an automation culture by establishing stable locators, handling flaky tests, and preventing coverage decay.

Required profile

• Proven experience building mobile automation frameworks for native iOS and Android apps.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Android Studio, ADB, Xcode, and device farms.
• Understanding of mobile app architecture, locator strategies, gestures, and network‑condition testing.
• Ability to embed test code within the application repository rather than a separate project.

Required skills

• Java (modern versions) and solid OOP principles.
• Appium 2.x/3.x, XCUITest, Espresso, UiAutomator2.
• Android Studio, ADB, Xcode, iOS Simulator.
• Playwright (Java), Page Object Model, JUnit 5.
• REST Assured, API authentication handling.
• SQL (MariaDB/MySQL), JDBC for state validation.
• Gradle build management, custom tasks for test suites.
• CI/CD integration, Git hooks (husky/pre‑commit), test reporting.
