Senior Financial Accounting Consultant (Paphos Office)

About the role

PwC is hiring a Senior Financial Accounting Consultant for its Paphos office, within the Finance, Operations & Data department of the Advisory line of service. The role provides finance and EU-funded project management support to a client and suits an experienced professional who wants to broaden their expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the client's accounting team so that accounts payable and receivable are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain financial records in line with the client's policies and regulations.
• Support leadership with budget planning, cost control and financial forecasting.
• Review and improve financial procedures, controls and workflows with stakeholders.
• Assist with payroll, prepare financial reports, management information and presentations for the client.
• Manage the financial side of EU-funded projects and grants, including grant application documentation and audit support.
• Coordinate billing, incoming fees and payment schedules.
• Collaborate with the Financial Aid and Scholarships team on scholarships and payments, and support procurement by reviewing purchase requests.
• Streamline financial workflows with internal departments and carry out other finance-related admin tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the education industry.
• Knowledge of EU-funded project management and grant administration is highly desirable.
• Excellent English communication skills and strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
