Senior Accountant – Deputy Chief Accountant

About the role

Owlcat Games is seeking a Senior Accountant to act as the Deputy Chief Accountant, supporting the Chief Accountant in managing the company’s full‑cycle accounting function. The role is based in Paphos, Cyprus and offers the chance to work in an international, automation‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting in line with IFRS and local Cyprus standards.
• Conduct month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing P&L, balance sheet and disclosures.
• Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger, bank and intercompany accounts, and handle accruals and pre‑payments.
• Provide full support for external audits, preparing schedules and liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
• Prepare VAT returns, maintain the fixed‑assets register and calculate depreciation.
• Optimize processes and participate in automation and AI projects within Oracle NetSuite.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including senior or deputy chief accountant roles.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax and accounting legislation, and VAT preparation.
• Proven experience managing external audits and communicating directly with auditors and tax experts.
• Fluent English.
