Project Manager Lead

About the role

FIS is seeking a Project Manager Lead to drive large‑scale financial technology implementations worldwide. You will provide strategic direction and hands‑on leadership from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global implementation and migration projects, coordinating clients, internal functions, shared services and third‑party partners.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering requirements, scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, dependencies, resources and operational readiness.
• Monitor performance against baselines, resolve complex issues, manage scope changes and escalate when needed.
• Own project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, billing and commercial control.
• Build trusted relationships with senior sponsors and stakeholders, providing transparent reporting and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of end‑to‑end project management experience on large, complex IT or financial technology projects.
• Proven ability to lead multinational, virtual and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder, risk and conflict management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and willingness to travel across time zones.

Required skills

• Software implementation experience.
• Knowledge of application development methods and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Microsoft Project for planning and reporting.
• Microsoft Office tools for documentation and governance.
