Lead Applied AI Engineer

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Lead Applied AI Engineer to shape the vision and roadmap for AI‑powered products. You will work at the intersection of product, data science and engineering to turn complex financial challenges into simple, scalable AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for AI solutions, including large language models and other machine learning technologies.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and software engineers to design, build and deploy NLP assistants, automation platforms and other AI features.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, set goals, establish success metrics and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end project execution, risk assessment and delivery of measurable results in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and launching AI products or features from concept to production.
• Strong analytical, technical and business acumen with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Background in data science or machine learning, having owned full ML project lifecycles.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and drive to continuously improve and innovate.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL or comparable data query language.
• Deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
• Version‑control systems (e.g., Git) and model deployment pipelines.
• Statistical and mathematical expertise.
• Experience with large language models, natural language processing and other machine‑learning techniques.
