International Financial Adviser (Self-Employed)

About the role

A privately owned international wealth management firm with a long-standing presence across Europe is looking for self-employed, Level 4+ qualified International Financial Advisers to join its advisory network. The role is full-time and advisory-focused, with no sales-floor culture or volume pressure, and is centred on long-term relationships. It suits experienced advisers who want autonomy and strong operational support.

The client is recruiting an experienced adviser to serve an international client base in Paphos, Cyprus, including expatriates and high-net-worth individuals. The position is aimed at EU passport holders and UK wealth management advisers; a minimum of three years of experience in a UK wealth management business is required, and applicants from accounting, auditing or financial management backgrounds should not apply.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advisory services covering investments, pensions and wealth planning
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service
• Carry out detailed fact-finding sessions to understand clients' financial circumstances and objectives
• Design tailored financial plans addressing short-term needs and long-term goals
• Advise on cross-border tax planning, international investments and wealth structuring
• Guide clients through UK pension transfers, QROPS and expatriate financial planning
• Operate within regulatory requirements and keep meticulous compliance records

Required profile

• Recognised UK financial planning qualification (DipPFS, CISI Level 4, CFP or similar)
• 2-3 years of client-facing advisory experience; 3 years in a UK wealth management business is required
• Knowledge of investment markets, pension legislation and wealth management
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
• Experience advising international or expatriate clients is an advantage
