Head of Communications

About the role

Mayflower is looking for a Head of Communications to shape the voice of its global entertainment platform. Reporting to the Head of Brand, you will own all written communication across brand, PR, editorial, product copy, and localization, ensuring a clear, human, and culturally aware narrative for English‑first audiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce communication standards across the Brand organization.
• Lead brand storytelling across key channels, including PR, press releases, and crisis communications.
• Set editorial direction for the company blog and oversee its growth into a multi‑function platform.
• Manage Brand Copy, high‑stakes writing projects, and Copy & Localization standards.
• Approve all written output across Brand and build scalable editorial workflows.
• Partner with Product, Brand Marketing, Community, Legal, and Support teams.
• Represent the brand at selected industry events and moments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in communications, editorial, brand, content, PR, journalism or a related field.
• Exceptional English‑language writing ability with near‑native command of tone, rhythm, nuance, and idiom.
• Strong editorial judgment, narrative instinct, and cultural awareness.
• Proven experience in brand storytelling, positioning, and messaging.
• Ability to work independently on high‑stakes communication without heavy oversight.
