Engineering Manager (.NET, Trading Platforms)

About the role

IC Markets, a global trading company with over 15 years of experience, is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager in Limassol. The role leads the architecture, development and delivery of business-critical trading and brokerage platforms, core systems and integrations with payment service providers (PSPs). It is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 from home).

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow engineering teams and Tech Leads, including hiring, mentoring and performance management.
• Own architecture, development quality and delivery of high-availability .NET and React platforms.
• Write, review and guide production .NET code, and lead delivery of trading platforms (web and mobile), CRM and back office systems, and integrations with PSPs and third parties.
• Design scalable APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Drive code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and release readiness, and enforce Jira and Confluence governance.
• Promote responsible use of AI tools across the team and partner with Product, QA, Cloud, Security, Dealing, Compliance and business teams.
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable and compliant, with access control, auditability and incident management, and track KPIs for stability, delivery and productivity.
• Lead modernization of legacy systems and reduce technical debt.

Required profile

• 12+ years of hands-on .NET engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven experience managing Tech Leads, senior engineers or multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with CRM and back office systems, web and mobile trading platforms, and the trader lifecycle (KYC, account opening, funding, pricing, order execution, positions, margin).
• Background in Forex/CFD brokerage or trading technology, ideally with MT4, MT5, cTrader or proprietary platforms and their APIs.
• Experience in regulated financial environments and leading distributed teams.

Required skills

• .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging and production support.
• Advanced Jira and Confluence governance.
• Knowledge of clean architecture, domain-driven design and SOLID, and SQL data modelling.
