Business Analyst Lead - Card Migration Programmes

About the role

FIS is looking for a Business Analyst Lead to join its PRIME Business Solution Architect team, which manages the requirements elicitation and management (discovery) process for major client implementations. You will act as co-lead on card migration programmes, owning end-to-end requirements and solution design, or as a business subject matter expert within your area of expertise. The role bridges business and technology, guides teams and ensures solutions are clearly defined, validated and implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and own requirements elicitation sessions in large, complex client engagements and act as a Requirements Lead accountable for the requirements phase.
• Advise clients on best-practice solutions and educate them on system features and functionality.
• Own the development requirements matrix, manage feasibility reviews with product and technology teams and obtain client sign-off on scope.
• Manage a matrix of senior or lead Architects, assign and monitor their work, mentor them and resolve escalations.
• Plan resourcing, define standards and best practices, and facilitate discussions that minimise unnecessary development.
• Take part in migration strategy and data mapping, identify migration impacts, and escalate and monitor project risks.
• Maintain governance over timelines and discovery deliverables, safeguard discovery and change-management processes, and coordinate across functional, technical, migration, infrastructure and programme teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in business requirements analysis, gathering, documentation and validation for software projects.
• Experience in the card payments industry and in matrix management of a group of Architects.
• Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a business-related field.
• Client advisory/consultancy experience in an IT environment, excellent English, and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Bonus: knowledge of data structures, previous experience with FIS PRIME or similar card management systems, large-scale project experience, end-user experience, business analysis qualifications (e.g. IIBA, BCS), and familiarity with common AI tools.
