Trainee Lawyer – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Our firm Varnavas Playbell & Co. LLC is seeking a Trainee Lawyer to join our team in Limassol. We specialize in corporate and commercial law, covering areas such as mergers & acquisitions, banking & finance, and regulatory matters for alternative investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance on various legal matters, including legal research.
• Prepare applications to the Cyprus Registrar of Companies, Intellectual Property Department, Land Registry and other authorities.
• Interact with government bodies such as the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, Central Bank of Cyprus, Land Registry and Tax Department.
• Draft legal letters, notices, affidavits and other corporate documentation.
• Assist with due diligence and AML procedures during client onboarding.

Required profile

• Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree; LLM or LPC is an advantage.
• Self‑motivated and able to support the Legal Department.
• Fluent in English and Greek; additional languages are a plus.
• Team player, career‑driven with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Pleasant, dynamic personality and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
