About the role
Our firm Varnavas Playbell & Co. LLC is seeking a Trainee Lawyer to join our team in Limassol. We specialize in corporate and commercial law, covering areas such as mergers & acquisitions, banking & finance, and regulatory matters for alternative investment funds.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance on various legal matters, including legal research.
- Prepare applications to the Cyprus Registrar of Companies, Intellectual Property Department, Land Registry and other authorities.
- Interact with government bodies such as the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, Central Bank of Cyprus, Land Registry and Tax Department.
- Draft legal letters, notices, affidavits and other corporate documentation.
- Assist with due diligence and AML procedures during client onboarding.
Required profile
- Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree; LLM or LPC is an advantage.
- Self‑motivated and able to support the Legal Department.
- Fluent in English and Greek; additional languages are a plus.
- Team player, career‑driven with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Pleasant, dynamic personality and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
