Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Semrush is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its SRE team, responsible for the reliability of the company’s infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify failure points, design resilient solutions, and ensure high availability of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead improvements in engineering practices across the company.
• Induce and recover from application failures, using metrics and tracing.
• Establish and refine SLOs, cost dashboards, and security hardening initiatives.
• Collaborate with development teams to design scalable, reliable system architecture.
• Design full‑stack platform solutions from concept to production.
• Build automation tooling in Go or Python.
• Mentor engineers, interview candidates, and lead critical incidents.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, typically one week every 2–3 weeks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
• Strong understanding of application failures and debugging using metrics.
• Willingness to be on call and work flexible hours.
• Team player with good communication abilities.
