Linux Administrator – Infrastructure

About the role

Quadcode is looking for a Linux Administrator to join its Infrastructure team. You will help build, operate, and continuously improve the services that keep a large‑scale trading platform running, supporting thousands of virtual machines and hundreds of physical servers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core services such as LDAP, PowerDNS, NTP and observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Grafana, Jaeger).
• Perform day‑to‑day operational tasks: upgrades, CVE patching, backups, security scans and monitoring.
• Design, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems on bare metal, VMs and containers.
• Manage private clouds based on OpenStack and Kubernetes, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual effort through scripting and configuration management.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Linux System Administrator, DevOps Engineer or SRE.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and a passion for automation and reliability.
• Ability to work in a Scrum/Agile environment with two‑week sprints.
• Fluent in English (minimum B1) and Russian (minimum C1).

Required skills

• Linux (Ubuntu) system administration.
• Automation tools: Chef, Ansible or Salt.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Private cloud platforms: OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox.
• Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/Graylog.
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python.
• Experience with services such as GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, DNS, NTP.
