Senior Real Estate Officer

About the role

The Senior Real Estate Officer will oversee day‑to‑day management, maintenance and performance monitoring of Demetra’s property portfolio while supporting the evaluation of new real‑estate investments and projects. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role combines operational oversight with strategic asset development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external valuers, property managers, engineers and consultants, reviewing reports and recommendations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors, monitoring work quality, cost performance and service delivery.
• Assess tenant requirements and implement cost‑effective solutions.
• Support the evaluation of potential real‑estate investments and projects.
• Contribute to portfolio growth through acquisition of new assets and reassessment of existing ones.
• Oversee lease administration, including rent reviews, renewals and tenant issues, in partnership with legal and finance teams.
• Monitor property performance, operating costs, capital expenditures and budget controls.
• Prepare internal reports on asset performance, valuations and portfolio matters.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil, Structural, Building Services or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the real‑estate or infrastructure sector.
• Excellent command of English.
• Analytical, negotiation and reporting abilities.
• Additional knowledge of finance and investment aspects of real‑estate is an advantage.
