Regional People & Culture Director, West Africa (Africa 3)

About the role

VisionFund International, the micro‑finance arm of World Vision, is seeking a senior leader to steer People & Culture strategy across its West Africa cluster (Senegal, Mali and Ghana). The Regional People & Culture Director will act as a catalyst for talent development, organizational performance and cultural alignment, ensuring the region delivers on VisionFund’s mission to break inter‑generational poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for People & Culture and Organizational Development across the West Africa region.
• Maximise the potential of human resources by designing and implementing talent acquisition, learning, performance and succession plans.
• Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives that improve operational efficiency and impact.
• Maintain and nurture a culture that reflects VisionFund’s values and mission.
• Collaborate with country leadership to align HR policies with local regulations and business goals.
• Monitor and report on HR metrics, ensuring data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience in a multi‑country or regional context.
• Strong understanding of micro‑finance or development sector environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cultural change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
