Regional Leader – Middle East & Eastern Europe (MEER)

About the role

The Regional Leader for the Middle East & Eastern Europe (MEER) will direct World Vision’s regional operations across 14 countries, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s vision, mission and strategic direction. This senior role provides strategic, financial and risk oversight while representing World Vision externally and internally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee implementation of the Partnership Strategy across all national offices.
• Manage financial resources, approve budgets, and oversee major capital expenditures for program and branch offices.
• Lead regional crisis management and emergency response coordination.
• Represent World Vision at regional forums, engage donors, UN hubs and senior partnership groups.
• Guide board and advisory council development, ensuring governance standards are met.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of senior strategic leadership experience in the humanitarian sector, including experience in the MEER region.
• At least five years managing multicultural leadership teams and working with advisory boards or councils.
• Strong Christian faith integrated with professional responsibilities and ability to provide spiritual leadership.
