Project Specialist – Research & Innovation

About the role

The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus seeks a full‑time Project Specialist (Special Scientist for Research) to support its Digital Innovation Hub, DiGiNN2.0. The role focuses on business development, project coordination and strategic development for research and innovation projects, helping SMEs and public organisations adopt AI and advanced digital technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and promote collaboration opportunities with industry partners, stakeholders and project participants.
• Support the development, coordination and implementation of DiGiNN2.0 projects, including market analysis of SME needs.
• Assist Cypriot SMEs and public organisations in adopting AI‑driven digital solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance to ensure project alignment with the Center’s innovation goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, project coordination or strategic development within a research or innovation environment.
• Familiarity with digital transformation, AI technologies and ICT ecosystems.
• Ability to work with SMEs, startups and public sector stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
