NOC Engineer - SMS Routing & Monitoring

About the role

Intergo Telecom, a leading telecommunications provider, is looking for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to oversee the monitoring, maintenance and optimisation of its network infrastructure. The role focuses on SMS routing, with hands-on experience in SMS A2P and proficiency with Alaris SMSC or similar expected.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve SMS route performance, spotting and fixing delivery issues or inefficiencies
• Watch real-time traffic and route performance, acting quickly on network alerts and delivery problems
• Diagnose SMS routing issues such as network configurations, logs and routing failures
• Maintain the messaging routing scheme so it stays available 24/7
• Respond to and escalate customer-to-supplier tickets (TTs) promptly
• Manage alarms, alerts and incidents using Alaris monitoring systems
• Escalate network issues to senior teams when needed and perform root cause analysis
• Support system upgrades and configuration changes with cross-functional teams
• Document operational processes, procedures and incident reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a NOC or telecom environment
• Excellent English; other languages are a plus
• Experience in the voice field is a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency with Alaris systems is a must
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies and troubleshooting
• Problem-solving under pressure and strong communication skills
