National Programme Officer – Humanitarian Response & Resettlement

About the role

The National Programme Officer will support the Chief of Mission in developing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring projects related to Humanitarian Response and Recovery (HRR) and Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM) in Cyprus.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the operational, administrative and financial management of HRR and RMM projects, ensuring compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements.
• Coordinate data collection, verification, analysis and update of information management systems and social media platforms.
• Prepare and disseminate project reports, proposals, communication products and press releases.
• Liaise with donors, UN agencies, government authorities, partners and stakeholders.
• Support capacity‑building activities for IOM staff, government and civil‑society partners.
• Supervise and train project staff and undertake duty travel for monitoring and assessments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Political/Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field (or Bachelor’s with two years experience).
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies and NGOs, and working with migrants, refugees or other vulnerable groups.
• Fluency in English and Greek (oral and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using AI tools and IOM digital platforms.
• Knowledge of project development, implementation, monitoring & evaluation tools and fundraising processes.
