Manager - Financial Services Risk Management

About the role

EY is hiring a Manager for its Financial Services Risk Management practice in Nicosia. You will deliver integrated risk management and regulatory consulting to clients in banking, capital markets, insurance and asset management, designing and implementing risk frameworks that support business performance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements on enterprise, credit, market, liquidity and compliance risk management
• Develop and improve risk management frameworks, policies and procedures aligned with regulations and best practice
• Lead the development, review and validation of risk models, including IFRS 9 ECL, credit rating models, stress testing, ICAAP and ILAAP modelling
• Advise clients on risk identification, measurement, mitigation and monitoring
• Work with regulatory compliance and quantitative services teams
• Grow the team by spotting business opportunities and building client relationships
• Mentor junior team members and stay up to date on regulatory changes and emerging risks
• Contribute to thought leadership and industry forums

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management or another quantitative discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM, PRM or an actuarial qualification is valued
• Experience in risk management or regulatory consulting in financial services; exposure to banking is a plus
• Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CRD, MiFID II and/or AIFMD, and of enterprise, credit, liquidity and compliance risk frameworks
• Ability to lead risk projects and manage client relationships
