Maintenance Specialist (Greek & English) – Boarding House

About the role

The Island Private School Boarding House is seeking a proactive, dependable Maintenance Specialist who is fluent in Greek and English. You will ensure the property’s systems and facilities operate smoothly, providing a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces, performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor pool chemistry, manage pool equipment, and keep walkways and grounds clean using light‑equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for major technical jobs, inspect completed work and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in facility maintenance; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, trade work, or property operations.
• Excellent diagnostic ability to decide when to fix issues directly or engage specialised contractors.
• Reliable, self‑motivated with high attention to detail.
• Fluent in Greek and English for effective communication with staff and vendors.
