Junior Accountant

About the role

Colibrix One, a fintech company building AI-powered payment technologies for PSPs, EMIs and neobanks across the EU and UK, is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join its Finance team in Limassol. The role covers bank reconciliations, supplier invoice processing, discrepancy resolution and support of month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Import bank statements and reconcile all company bank accounts to the general ledger daily or weekly
• Investigate and resolve unmatched transactions, suspense items and discrepancies, posting corrections with proper support
• Monitor ageing of open items and escalate anything unresolved after 10 days
• Receive supplier invoices from all channels and register them accurately in the ERP, checking legal entity, VAT details, amounts and bank details
• Route invoices to budget holders for approval and follow up on delayed approvals
• Reconcile supplier statements and respond to supplier queries on invoices and payments
• Support month-end close with AP accruals, reconciliations and schedules, and provide documentation for internal and external audits

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or economics (completed or in progress), or an equivalent professional qualification
• At least 1.5 years of experience in bank reconciliation, accounts payable or general accounting
• Fluent English and Russian; other languages are an asset

Required skills

• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT and invoice compliance rules
• Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines
