Head of Back Office - Digital Assets

About the role

The Vault is looking for a Head of Back Office to take full ownership of back-office operations for its Digital Assets business. The role combines hands-on execution with designing, improving and maintaining processes that support regulatory compliance and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, manage and continuously improve back-office processes for the Digital Assets business
• Execute client orders and conduct settlements in cryptocurrency and fiat money
• Maintain and keep up to date customer profiles
• Own projects focused on automation and improvement of internal back-office systems
• Maintain and supervise records for client and proprietary post-trade processing and digital asset payments
• Carry out and oversee daily and monthly reconciliations, reporting accurately and on time to senior management
• Act as main contact for external parties on operational issues and keep systems aligned with regulatory standards
• Prepare and deliver accurate client reports and submit regulator reports under CASP and MiCAR frameworks
• Communicate with clients and management on orders and operations, and handle ad-hoc tasks

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or a related field
• Proven back-office experience, ideally in digital assets or the financial industry
• Knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks and experience preparing reports for CySEC or similar authorities
• English language proficiency
• An advantage: knowledge of Cyprus local regime, MiCAR and CASP, a CySEC certificate, and experience with record keeping in regulated business

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, able to resolve discrepancies independently
• High computer literacy and confidence with various systems
• Proactive approach balancing execution and process development
