Hardware QA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Hardware QA Engineer to validate mission‑critical telecommunications systems used in defence and homeland security environments. You will work on GSM, UMTS and LTE hardware, performing system‑level testing, troubleshooting real‑world failures and supporting on‑site deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute hardware and system‑level test plans for telecom equipment (GSM/UMTS/LTE).
• Debug and perform root‑cause analysis across components and full systems.
• Validate hardware during production and pre‑deployment phases.
• Develop scripts or tools, primarily in Python, to automate tests and improve efficiency.
• Analyze field issues and provide on‑site support when required.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, RF and software engineers to resolve problems.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience or strong academic projects in hardware testing or troubleshooting.
• Understanding of GSM, UMTS and LTE wireless technologies.
• Ability to read schematics and system‑level diagrams.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally and provide occasional off‑hours support.

Required skills
