Full Stack Software Engineer – Authoring Tools (Remote)

About the role

LearnWorlds is looking for a senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Authoring Tools team. The role is remote‑first, serving customers in Greece or Cyprus, and focuses on building the tools educators use to create engaging learning content.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship full‑stack features, from backend PHP services to polished Vue.js front‑ends.
• Own frontend architecture in Vue.js, applying design patterns and evolving consistent engineering practices.
• Write clean, performant backend code in PHP and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to shape solutions, not just implement handed‑off designs.
• Participate in code reviews, give and receive constructive feedback, and use AI‑assisted coding tools to accelerate development.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in complex SaaS products.
• Strong ownership mindset, able to move a problem from idea to production independently.
• Adaptable to changing requirements, priorities, and scope.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and product‑oriented thinking.

Required skills

• Modern JavaScript and Vue.js.
• PHP for backend services.
• RESTful APIs, HTTP fundamentals.
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Docker, Kubernetes, or micro‑services concepts.
• AI‑assisted development tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor.
