Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our fast‑growing, multi‑jurisdictional finance team in Limassol. The role supports a diversified transportation group, covering shipping, intermodal, aviation and rail investments, and works closely with senior management and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight, governance and performance evaluation for independent portfolio businesses such as container and rail‑car leasing.
• Oversee the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• Assist senior management with ad‑hoc financial requests and analysis.
• Evaluate accounting, financial and reporting implications of investment transactions, including purchases, sales and financing.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and third‑party service providers.
• Manage periodic close and reporting processes (monthly, quarterly, annual) ensuring accuracy and timeliness under Group GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, partnering with operations, technical, commercial, legal and new‑building functions.
• Develop new management reports for decision‑making, cash projections, expenditure tracking and receivables management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in audit, shipping or transportation.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding, fast‑paced international environment.
• Excellent English communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with multi‑entity structures and cross‑border financial oversight.
