AML Risk Analyst – Regulated EMI / Payments

About the role

A leading regulated organisation in the payments industry, recruited through Axia Search, is looking for an AML/Risk Analyst in Cyprus. The role strengthens the firm's enterprise AML and risk framework, works closely with senior leadership and regulators, and sits independently from Compliance and Internal Audit. It suits people with experience in Payments, FinTech, EMI, Banking or Financial Services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Own and maintain the Corporate Risk Register
• Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and monitor operational, financial, regulatory and technology risks
• Define and oversee Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Present risk reports and recommendations to Senior Management and the Board
• Monitor regulatory changes including PSD2, AML and GDPR, support regulatory reporting and liaise with the Central Bank where required
• Partner with business units on risk mitigation and work with Compliance and Internal Audit while keeping an independent risk function

Required profile

• 3+ years in Risk Management, Enterprise Risk or Regulatory Compliance
• Experience in Payments, FinTech, EMI, Banking or Financial Services
• Degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline
• Fluent English; Greek is beneficial but not essential

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PSD2, AML, GDPR and regulatory governance
• Experience developing risk frameworks, policies and risk registers
• Analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills
• Professional qualifications such as ICA, CAMS or FRM are advantageous
