Backend Developer (.NET)

About the role

Tickmill, a multi-regulated broker founded in 2014 and employing over 330 people across offices in London, Cyprus, Poland, Estonia, Seychelles and elsewhere, is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) for its Limassol office. The role focuses on designing, developing and supporting backend services, especially integrations with other systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support backend services with a focus on integrations with other systems and services
• Improve quality processes by developing automated unit tests and performing code reviews
• Collaborate with internal and external teams throughout the integration process
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs, and help maintain code quality, organisation and automation
• Stay up to date with new technology trends, applications and protocols

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of software development experience, ideally in C#
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot and debug integration issues
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication

Required skills

• Object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Code versioning tools
• Plus: cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure, CI/CD, unit and integration testing, relational databases, and experience in the financial markets industry
