Associate - Dispute Resolution

About the role

Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC is seeking a motivated lawyer to join its Dispute Resolution Department in Nicosia. The Associate will work closely with senior advocates on a diverse caseload, gaining hands‑on experience in court proceedings, legal drafting and case strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Appear before the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus on procedural and substantive matters appropriate to experience level.
• Assist in the conduct of civil, commercial and other contentious matters.
• Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, correspondence and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses and legal opinions.
• Support the preparation of hearings, evidence bundles and case strategy.
• Manage procedural steps to ensure timely progression of matters.
• Handle smaller matters under supervision and progressively take on an independent caseload.
• Provide assistance to other members of the Dispute Resolution Department, including urgent procedural matters.

Required profile

• Admission to the Cyprus Bar Association and eligibility to practice as an advocate in Cyprus.
• Newly qualified or early‑career lawyer with a strong academic record; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and oral, suitable for court advocacy and client communication.
• Strong analytical, research and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Sound judgment and precision in legal drafting.
