Junior Associate - Litigation

About the role

Phoebus, Christos Clerides & Associates, a historic law firm in Cyprus with over 75 years of experience, is looking for a Junior Associate to support its legal practice. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nicosia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with court appearances, legal research, drafting pleadings, contracts, opinions and other legal documents, and preparing case files.
• Review legislation and case law.
• Attend client meetings and assist in courtroom preparation.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers on ongoing matters.
• Communicate professionally with clients and external stakeholders, manage assigned deadlines and keep accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and Cyprus Bar Association license.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in litigation.
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Strong legal research and analytical skills, able to interpret legislation, case law and legal doctrine.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing pleadings, contracts, legal opinions and correspondence.
• Excellent written and verbal English; fluency in Greek and other languages is an advantage.
• Organization, attention to detail and ability to handle several matters under time pressure.
