Trader / Portfolio Manager (Cyprus)

About the role

TechBiz Global provides recruitment services to its top clients and is recruiting a Trader/Portfolio Manager for one of them, based in Cyprus. The role covers execution of discretionary orders and implementation of medium-term ideas across fixed income, equities and FX.

Key responsibilities

• Execute discretionary trade orders for colleagues (portfolio managers) and implement medium-term discretionary ideas in fixed income, equities and FX
• Operate the Bloomberg terminal, monitor alerts for limited-order executions and market-moving news
• Monitor sell-side recommendation changes and market factors affecting buy-list candidates
• Alert analysts and portfolio managers on market trends and conditions and help generate trade ideas
• Use market volatility in equities to achieve better-than-VWAP execution
• Take personal responsibility for decisions and trade execution in line with the investment policy

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of financial market instruments, their operating principles and infrastructure
• Practical experience executing trades on various platforms, including Bloomberg API
• Experience as a buy-side trader or analyst for 2 years preferred
• Fluent English and Russian are required; French, Spanish or German is a plus
• Attention to detail, creativity in generating market ideas and teamwork

Required skills

• Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg API
• Option pricing, hedging strategies and derivatives (a plus)
• US and European markets environment (preferred)
