Senior Level Designer – Hybrid Casual RPG

About the role

Homa, a global mobile game developer and publisher, is hiring a Senior Level Designer for its hybrid casual RPG. You will be the keeper of the player experience on a small, AI-native game team on its way to launch, owning the level design area completely: you set the roadmap, make the calls and ship. A dedicated level editor and an AI-powered level generation pipeline will be ready on day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and tune levels in Unity, covering layouts, encounters, pacing and difficulty
• Triple level content by combining the AI pipeline with your own design judgment
• Model how health, damage and stat changes affect the numbers before anything ships
• Polish existing levels to final quality and give them the feel that keeps players coming back
• Set the level design roadmap, make design calls and question each choice
• Write clear, detailed specs that developers can implement as written
• Use playtests and player data to iterate quickly
• Use AI daily to generate layouts, prototype encounters, simulate balancing and automate level work

Required profile

• Years of level design experience with shipped levels on a hybrid casual, RPG or combat-based game
• Hands-on balancing skills, including stats, health and damage maths and spreadsheets
• Fluency in Unity, building and iterating levels in the engine yourself
• A strong sense of game feel and a data-driven approach to level tuning
• Feature design experience alongside level design
• Autonomy to build your own roadmap and make design decisions
