Senior Fund Accountant, Real Assets

About the role

MUFG Investor Services provides asset servicing solutions to the global investment management industry, including fund administration, custody, trustee services and more. The Senior Fund Accountant plays a key role in delivering fund administration services to private market clients focused on real asset structures, acting as a key point of contact for clients, auditors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for assigned real asset funds using Yardi
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, US GAAP or ASPE
• Process capital activity calculations and notices, including capital calls and distributions
• Perform NAV calculations, prepare investor-level reporting and compute management and carried interest
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances and investment transactions
• Support annual audit and tax processes by liaising with auditors, tax advisors and clients
• Identify process improvements and contribute to enhancements of Yardi and related tools
• Mentor junior team members and keep clients and stakeholders informed

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred or in progress
• Demonstrable experience in fund administration or audit
• Experience with real asset structures (property, REIT, SPV, JV, co-invest)
