Senior Fullstack QA Engineer (Mobile Automation)

About the role

FP Markets, a multi-regulated broker offering CFD trading on Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies, is recruiting a full-time Senior QA Engineer (fullstack) for its Cyprus office. The company is building a social trading platform and needs an automation engineer who will build end-to-end test coverage, with a primary focus on native mobile apps (iOS / Android) and web. There are currently no automated tests for the mobile apps, so you will build automation from scratch and set up the surrounding processes. You report to the QA Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop a mobile automation framework from scratch for native iOS and Android apps
• Develop and maintain the backend automation framework (API testing)
• Cover critical social trading scenarios such as trade copying, deposits/withdrawals and trading account operations
• Extend test coverage at web and API levels
• Integrate tests into CI/CD: run them on every commit, use pipelines and reporting
• Set up pre-commit quality gates with Git hooks (husky / pre-commit) so tests must pass before code reaches the repository
• Run tests on real devices, emulators/simulators and cloud device farms
• Drive automation culture by introducing stabilization and automation iterations to prevent coverage degradation

Required profile

• Experience building mobile automation frameworks from scratch for iOS and Android
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Studio (ADB, emulators) and Xcode / Simulator
• Experience running tests on real devices and cloud farms (e.g. BrowserStack)
• Understanding of mobile app architecture, locator strategies, gestures and testing under different network conditions
• Understanding that mobile tests are kept in the app repository rather than as a separate project

Required skills

• Strong Java; Kotlin and Swift are a plus
• XCUITest (iOS) and Espresso / UiAutomator2 (Android); Appium 2.x/3.x
• JUnit 5, Instancio / JavaFaker, Playwright (Java), REST Assured
• MariaDB / MySQL, Gradle, GitLab CI / Jenkins, Allure, Jira
• Nice to have: fintech experience, AI testing tools, Testcontainers, App Store / Play Store guidelines
