Senior DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to advance our security automation across SOC and DevSecOps processes. You will join the AppSec Cheetahs team, collaborating with ethical hackers to embed security into our development pipelines and protect our products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines integrating SAST, DAST and IAST tools.
• Develop automation scripts for vulnerability management, compliance checks and continuous security feedback.
• Secure Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) by scanning for misconfigurations before deployment.
• Evaluate, implement and maintain security tooling such as scanners, monitoring and compliance platforms.
• Act as a security champion, mentoring developers and operations teams on secure coding and DevSecOps best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years focused on DevSecOps.
• Proven track record with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar).
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash or Go.
• Hands‑on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) and its security services.
• Solid understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC security.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
