Senior C++ Client Developer – Core Team

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Client Developer to join the Core team of our 4X strategy game Total Battle. You will design and implement core client systems, APIs and reusable modules that power game features across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain core client modules, including map logic, metagameplay and special‑offer mechanisms.
• Refactor existing code into clean, modular components and create a robust HotReload system for live configuration updates.
• Build an “instances” system for separate locations/scenes with custom game rules.
• Define clear APIs, write documentation and provide guides for other feature teams.
• Ensure high code quality through reviews, decomposition and automated testing.

Required profile

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C++ (or willingness to transition) and experience with 2D/3D engines such as Unity or Cocos2d‑x.
• Background in complex game projects (strategy, MMORPG, open‑world or large‑scale mobile titles).
• Proficiency in design patterns, SOLID principles and multithreaded programming.
• Fluent English (B1+) and Russian (B2+).

• Core library and tool development, API design.
• Profiling, memory management and performance optimisation.
• Unit, integration and automation testing.
• Build pipelines for iOS and Android.
