Senior Backend C++ Developer (Framework Team)

About the role

Scorewarrior is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join its Framework Team. You will build tools used by fellow engineers and power game services across the company, working with modern C++ (17/20), asynchronous systems, high‑load networking and distributed architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core SDK/framework modules with clean abstractions for fast, high‑quality game logic.
• Gather requirements and design APIs, protocols, and service‑to‑service interaction contracts.
• Build asynchronous and multithreaded code with performance in mind.
• Implement S2S communications handling idempotency, transactions and guaranteed delivery.
• Design and evolve ORM and data‑persistence layers (PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Ensure scalability, stability and fault tolerance of backend services.
• Refactor legacy code to increase reliability without downtime.
• Implement observability: metrics, logs and tracing.
• Improve developer tools and DevEx – CMake, Conan, Python tooling, CI/CD scripts, Docker.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, mentoring and R&D exploration.

Required profile

• Ability to gather requirements, design solutions, break down work and deliver to production independently.
• 3+ years of backend development experience on a statically typed language under Linux.
• 3+ years of commercial experience with C++17/20.
• Strong knowledge of asynchrony and multithreading (threads, futures, coroutines, atomics).
• Understanding of network communication (REST/gRPC, HTTP, WebSocket, TCP).
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL (DDL/DML, transactions, indexes, migrations).
• Solid software design skills (SOLID, Clean Code, IoC/DI, GoF patterns).
• Experience with distributed and high‑load systems.
• Understanding of system design (scaling, caching, SLA/SLO/SLI).
• Experience with CI/CD, containers and build systems (CMake, Docker, Jenkins/GitLab).
• Familiarity with testing and performance tools (GTest, Valgrind, Perf, Sanitizers).
• English B1+ and Russian B2+ proficiency.
